HiDex 6 day (dexamethasone tablets usp, 1.5 mg)

HiDex 6-Day (dexamethasone tablet) is a corticosteroid used to treat a wide variety of conditions, such as allergies, skin diseases, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, blood disorders, some cancers, disorders that affect the nervous system, eye diseases, kidney diseases, lung diseases, and rheumatic disorders. It is also used for diagnostic testing of adrenocortical hyperfunction, trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement, tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used with appropriate antituberculosis chemotherapy.
The drug is often used to treat Meningitis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- skin redness,
- nausea,
- rash,
- headache,
- slow wound healing,
- muscle weakness,
- spinning sensation (vertigo),
- insomnia,
- depression,
- increased sweating,
- bruising,
- feeling unwell (malaise),
- acne,
- increased appetite,
- osteoporosis,
- thin fragile skin,
- menstrual irregularities,
- excess hair growth,
- allergic reactions,
- mood swings,
- glaucoma,
- weight gain.
