Yf-Vax (yellow fever vaccine)

YF-Vax (yellow fever vaccine) is a vaccine used to help prevent yellow fever in adults and children who are at least 9 months old. Yellow fever is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. YF-Vax is recommended for people who plan travel to areas where yellow fever is known to exist, for people who work in a research laboratory, or anyone otherwise at high risk of coming into contact with the virus. YF-Vax is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- loss of appetite,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- seizure,
- headache,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- little or no urination,
- high fever,
- extreme tiredness,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- chest tightness,
- easy bruising or bleeding,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat,
- muscle pain,
- neck stiffness,
- increased sensitivity to light,
- loss of bladder or bowel control
- problems with walking, breathing, speech, swallowing, vision, or eye movement,
- weakness or prickly feeling in your fingers or toes,
- severe pain (especially at night), and

- Infanrix Hexa (combined diphtheria, tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis, hepatitis b, inactivated poliomyelitis, adsorbed conjugated haemophilus influenzae)
- Vaxelis (diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis adsorbed, inactivated poliovirus, haemophilus b conjugate [meningococcal protein conjugate] and hepatitis b [recombinant] vaccine)
