Zontivity (vorapaxar tablets)
type of Thrombin Inhibitors, Protease Activated Receptor-1 (PAR-1) Inhibitors
Zontivity (vorapaxar) is a PAR-1 antagonist, or an anti-platelet medication, used for the reduction of thrombotic cardiovascular events in patients with a history of myocardial infarction (MI) or with peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- carbamazepine,
- rifampin,
- itraconazole,
- ketoconazole,
- posaconazole,
- clarithromycin,
- nefazodone,
- ritonavir,
- saquinavir,
- nelfinavir,
- indinavir,
- boceprevir,
- telaprevir,
- telithromycin,
- conivaptan,
- St. John's wort, and
- phenytoin
