Vasostrict (vasopressin injection) is a man-made form of a hormone called "anti-diuretic hormone" that is normally secreted by the pituitary gland used to increase blood pressure in adults with vasodilatory shock who remain hypotensive despite fluids and catecholamines.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• unusual bleeding,
• confusion,
• chest pain or tightness,
• headache,
• little or no urination,
• slow heart rate,
• severe stomach pain,
• slurred speech,
• slow breathing,
• severe weakness,
• loss of coordination,
• feeling unsteady,
• weak pulse,
• weakness
• numbness or tingling in your hands or feet,
• severe drowsiness, and
• loss of color in your lips or around your mouth,
• loss of feeling anywhere in your body,
• unusual skin changes (soreness, tightness, discoloration, pain),
• especially in your lower legs or feet,
• severe or pounding headache,
