Tolinase (tolbutamide tablets)
type of Antidiabetics, Sulfonylureas
Tolinase (tolazamide) is an oral diabetes medicine used together with diet and exercise to treat type 2 (non-insulin dependent) diabetes. Other diabetes medicines are sometimes used in combination with Tolinase if needed. The brand name Tolinase is discontinued but generic versions may be available.
The drug is often used to treat Diabetes .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- pale skin,
- confusion,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- headache,
- sore throat,
- skin pain,
- mouth sores,
- slurred speech,
- burning in your eyes,
- severe weakness,
- red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
- loss of coordination, and
- redness,
- feeling unsteady
- severe skin rash,
