Xeljanz (tofacitinib tablets)
type of DMARDs, Immunomodulators, DMARDs, JAK Inhibitors
Xeljanz (tofacitinib citrate) is a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor used to treat adults with moderate to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who have not responded well to methotrexate, or cannot tolerate it.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- night sweats,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- cold hands and feet,
- weight loss,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- clay-colored stools,
- sweating,
- cough,
- unusual tiredness,
- burning pain,
- stomach pain (upper right side),
- increased urination,
- mouth sores,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- muscle pain,
- numbness or tingling,
- heavy sweating,
- sudden shortness of breath,
- feeling very tired,
- pain while breathing,
- ongoing stomach pain, and
- change in bowel habits
- cough with pink or red mucus,
- pain in your chest or back,
- clammy or blue-colored skin,
- pain, swelling, or redness in an arm or a leg,
- skin sores with warmth, redness or swelling,
- skin rash or blisters,
