Tofidence (tocilizumab-bavi injection)

Tofidence (tocilizumab-bavi) is an interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor antagonist indicated for treatment of adult patients with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who have had an inadequate response to one or more disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs); patients 2 years of age and older with active polyarticular juvenile
This drug may have the following side effects:
- rash,
- dizziness,
- headache,
- abdominal pain,
- runny or stuffy nose,
- gastritis, and
- high blood pressure (hypertension),
- bronchitis,
- increased ALT,
- upper respiratory tract infections,
- mouth ulcers,
- increased transaminase.
