Zanaflex (tizanidine)

type of Alpha2 Adrenergic Agonists

Zanaflex (tizanidine hydrochloride) is a muscle relaxant used to treat muscle tightness and cramping (spasm) caused by conditions such as multiple sclerosis or spinal injury.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • sweating,
  • constipation,
  • nervousness,
  • fever,
  • stomach pain,
  • dry mouth,
  • drowsiness,
  • back pain,
  • numbness or tingling,
  • muscle weakness, 
  • anxiousness,
  • skin rash, and
  • fatigue.
  • increased muscle tone or spasms,

  • Celebrex (celecoxib)
  • Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl)
  • Dolobid (diflunisal)
  • Vicoprofen (hydrocodone and ibuprofen)
  • Reprexain Tablets (hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen)
  • Norflex (orphenadrine injection)
  • Norgesic (orphenadrine citrate with aspirin and caffeine)
  • Ultram (tramadol hcl)
  • Ultram ER (tramadol hcl extended-release)
