Timoptic (timolol maleate ophthalmic solution)
type of Beta-Blockers, Nonselective
Timoptic (timolol ophthalmic solution) is a beta-blocker drug that also reduces pressure inside the eye. Timoptic is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chest pain,
- blurred vision,
- wheezing,
- muscle weakness,
- depression,
- trouble breathing,
- hallucinations,
- unusual thoughts or behavior,
- tunnel vision,
- slow heartbeats,
- eye pain, and
- seeing halos around lights
- numbness or cold feeling in your hands and feet,
- severe stinging or burning after using the eye drops,
- eye swelling, redness, severe discomfort, crusting or drainage,
