Timoptic-XE (timolol maleate ophthalmic gel forming solution)

Timoptic-XE (timolol maleate ophthalmic solution) is a beta-blocker used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Timoptic-XE is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chest pain,
- blurred vision,
- wheezing,
- muscle weakness,
- depression,
- hallucinations,
- unusual thoughts or behavior,
- tunnel vision,
- eye swelling,
- slow heartbeats,
- eye pain, and
- numbness or cold feeling in your hands and feet,
- crusting or drainage of the eye,
- severe stinging or burning after using the medication,
- redness or severe discomfort of the eyes,
- seeing halos around the lights
