Tigecycline Generic Injection (tigecycline)

Tigecycline for injection is a tetracycline class antibacterial, indicated in patients 18 years of age and older for complicated skin and skin structure infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia. Tigecycline is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Pneumonia .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • indigestion,
  • diarrhea,
  • weakness,
  • rash, and
  • anemia,
  • infection,
  • abdominal pain,
  • pneumonia,
  • sun sensitivity,
  • vein inflammation (phlebitis),
  • increased SGPT.
