Thrombin-JMI (thrombin topical bovine origin) is an anticoagulant used to help stop oozing blood and minor bleeding from capillaries.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fever

allergic reactions in people known to be sensitive to bovine materials - bleeding
- low levels of iron in the blood (anemia)
- post-operative wound infection
- blood clots that break loose (thromboembolic events)
- low blood pressure (hypotension)
- fast heart rate, and
- low levels of platelets in the blood.
