Tepadina (thiotepa for injection)

Tepadina (thiotepa) for injection is an alkylating drug indicated to reduce the risk of graft rejection when used in conjunction with high-dose busulfan and cyclophosphamide as a preparative regimen for allogeneic hematopoietic progenitor (stem) cell transplantation (HSCT) for pediatric patients with class 3 beta-thalassemia; for treatment of adenocarcinoma of the breast or ovary; for controlling intracavitary effusions secondary to diffuse or localized neoplastic diseases of various serosal cavities and for treatment of superficial papillary carcinoma of the urinary bladder. Tepadina is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- cold hands and feet,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- seizure,
- dry mouth,
- headache,
- overactive reflexes,
- mouth sores,
- rapid weight gain,
- dark urine, and
- hallucinations,
- skin sores,
- drowsiness,
- trouble swallowing or talking,
- blood in your urine,
- stomach pain or bloating,
- bad breath,
- altered sense of taste,
- white patches in or around your mouth,
- changes in behavior or personality,
- problems with memory, speech, or thought,
- twitching muscles,
- problems with coordination or movement,
