Temodar (temozolomide)

Temodar (temozolomide) is a chemotherapy drug used together with radiation therapy to treat certain types of brain tumor in adults. Temodar is sometimes given after other cancer medications have been tried without successful treatment of the tumor.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• upper stomach pain,
• loss of appetite,
• itching,
• dark urine,
• clay-colored stools, and
• fever,
• easy bruising,
• shortness of breath,
• seizure,
• wheezing,
• cough,
• trouble breathing,
• skin sores,
• painful mouth sores,
• swollen gums,
• cold or flu symptoms,
• unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum),
• purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin,
• sudden chest pain or discomfort,
• dry cough,
• tired feeling,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
