Symdeko (tezacaftor/ivacaftor tablets and ivacaftor tablets) is a combination drug indicated for the treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) aged 12 years and older who are homozygous for the F508delmutation or who have at least one mutation in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene that is responsive to tezacaftor/ivacaftor based on in vitrodata and/or clinical evidence.

The drug is often used to treat Cystic fibrosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• dizziness
• stuffy nose, and

The following drugs are related to Symdeko, either as a replacement or used together:

• Bronchitol (mannitol inhalation powder, for oral inhalation use)
• Trikafta (lexacaftor, tezacaftor and ivacaftor tablets; ivacaftor tablets)
