Zagam (sparfloxacin) is an antibiotic used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The brand name Zagam is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea
  • dizziness
  • itching
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  •  headache
  • abdominal pain
  • indigestion
  • constipation
  • drowsiness
  • gas
  • lightheadedness
  • changes in taste
  • insomnia
  • increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight
  • ringing in the ears
  • elevated blood pressure, and
  • heart rhythm disorders
