Valtropin (somatropin rDNA origin for injection) is a form of a hormone used in patients who have growth failure due to inadequate secretion of endogenous growth hormone, and for the treatment of growth failure associated with Turner syndrome in patients who have open growth plates (epiphyses). Valtropin is also used in adults for replacement of endogenous growth hormone.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• vomiting,
• weight loss,
• dizziness,
• vision problems,
• weakness, and
• dry mouth,
• increased thirst,
• increased urination,
• fruity breath odor,
• ringing in your ears,
• tiredness
• extreme weakness,
• severe headaches,
• severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back,

• pain behind your eyes,
• unusual headaches,
• changes in behavior,
• changes in skin color,
• walking with a limp,
• pain in your knees or hips,
