Solesta (solesta injectable gel)

Solesta (dextranomer microspheres and stabilized sodium hyaluronate, in phosphate-buffered sodium chloride solution) is a tissue bulking agent indicated for the treatment of fecal incontinence in patients 18 years and older who have failed conservative therapy (e.g., diet, fiber therapy, anti-motility medications).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- diarrhea
- fever
- chills
- constipation
- hair loss
- injection site pain
- pain or discomfort in the rectum or anus
- injection site hemorrhage
- rectal hemorrhage
- anal hemorrhage
- rectal discharge
- inflammation of the rectum and anus
- anal prolapse
- anal pruritus
- lower abdominal pain
- defecation urgency
- painful defecation
- rectal obstruction
- injection site nodules
- rectal abscess
- rectovaginal septum abscess
- difficult or painful sexual intercourse, and
