Sylvant (siltuximab) is a human-mouse chimeric monoclonal antibody used to treat patients with multicentric Castleman's disease (MCD) who are human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) negative and human herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8) negative.

The drug is often used to treat HIV .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• fever,
• chills,
• chest pain,
• fluttering in your chest,
• back pain,
• cough,
• little or no urination,
• painful or difficult urination,
• pounding heartbeats,
• bloody or tarry stools,
• vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
• chest tightness,
• swelling in your feet or ankles, and
• painful mouth sores,
• cold or flu symptoms,
• cough with bloody mucus,
• pain when swallowing,
• severe pain in your side or lower back
• warmth or redness under your skin,
