Samsca (tolvaptan) is a vasopressin receptor antagonist, which increases the amount of urine you make, causing your body to get rid of extra water which helps to slowly increase to normal levels of salt (sodium) in the blood, used to treat hyponatremia (low levels of sodium in your blood) in people with heart failure, liver disease, and certain hormonal imbalances.

The drug is often used to treat Heart failure , Liver disease .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• loss of appetite,
• itching,
• vomiting,
• fever,
• lightheadedness,
• confusion,
• seizure,
• weakness,
• trouble swallowing,
• mood changes,
• right-sided upper stomach pain,
• feeling unwell,
• feeling very thirsty or hot,
• heavy sweating, and
• severe dizziness,
• yellowing of your skin or eyes,
• little or no urine,
• hot and dry skin
• problems with speech or muscle control,
• trouble moving your arms and legs,
