Xadago (safinamide tablets)

type of Antiparkinson Agents, MAO Type B Inhibitors

Xadago (safinamide) is a monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitor indicated as adjunctive treatment to levodopa/carbidopa in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) experiencing “off” episodes.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• indigestion,
• cough,
• insomnia,
• anxiety,
• falls,
• abnormal movements (dyskinesia),
• dizziness upon standing,
• high blood pressure, or
• falling asleep during daily activities.
