RotaTeq (rotavirus vaccine, live, oral, pentavalent) Oral Solution is a vaccine used to help prevent rotavirus infection in babies ages 6 to 32 weeks.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • fever,
  • shortness of breath,
  • chills,
  • stomach pain,
  • seizure,
  • swelling,
  • wheezing,
  • weakness,
  • shallow breathing,
  • high fever,
  • ear pain,
  • bloating,
  • cough with yellow or green mucus,
  • stabbing chest pain,
  • severe or ongoing diarrhea,
  • bloody stools,
  • pain or burning with urination,
  • redness of the skin or eyes,
  • swollen hands,
  • peeling skin rash, and
  • chapped or cracked lips
  • vomiting (especially if it is golden-brown to green in color),
  • grunting,
  • excessive crying,
  • drainage from the ear,
