Risperdal (risperidone) is an atypical antipsychotic prescribed to treat:
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chills,
- dry mouth,
- sweating,
- cough,
- trouble swallowing,
- sore throat,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- ill feeling,
- mouth sores,
- high fever,
- fast or uneven heartbeats,
- impotence,
- trouble breathing,
- skin sores,
- tremors,
- sudden weakness,
- cold or flu symptoms,
- fruity breath odor, and
- purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin,
- red or swollen gums,
- missed menstrual periods,
- nipple discharge,
- very stiff or rigid muscles,
- breast swelling or tenderness (in men or women),
- lack of interest in sex,
- unusual bleeding (nose, gums, vagina or rectum),
- an erection of the penis that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer
