Revatio (sildenafil citrate)

Revatio (sildenafil), a cyclic GMP inhibitor, is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension to improve exercise ability and delay clinical worsening. Revatio is also used to treat erectile dysfunction. Revatio is available as a generic.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • severe shortness of breath,
  • pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
  • sweating,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • irregular heartbeat,
  • vision changes,
  • ringing in your ears,
  • sudden vision loss,
  • cough with foamy mucus,
  • swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet,
  • seizures, and
  • erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours,
  • sudden hearing loss,
  • lightheadedness
