Renagel (sevelamer hcl)

Renagel (sevelamer hydrochloride) is a polymeric amine that binds phosphate indicated for the control of serum phosphorus in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis. Renagel is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• loss of appetite,
• stomach pain,
• upset stomach,
• gas,
• tired feeling,
• bloating,
• itching, or
• joint pain.
• mild constipation,
