Ultiva (remifentanil)

Ultiva (remifentanil) is a narcotic (opioid) pain medicine used to treat or prevent acute pain after surgery.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • diarrhea
  • fainting,
  • sweating,
  • noisy breathing,
  • agitation,
  • shivering,
  • shallow breathing,
  • vomiting, and
  • hallucinations,
  • twitching,
  • severe weakness,
  • loss of coordination,
  • fast or slow heart rate,
  • muscle stiffness,
  • sighing,
  • breathing that stops during sleep,
  • stiff muscles,
  • slowed breathing,

  • Anectine (succinylcholine chloride)
  • Ultane (sevoflurane)
