Veklury (remdesivir) is a SARS-CoV-2 nucleotide analog RNA polymerase inhibitor indicated for adults and pediatric patients (12 years of age and older and weighing at least 40 kg) for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) requiring hospitalization.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • itching,
  • fever,
  • chills,
  • severe headache,
  • pounding in your neck or ears,
  • wheezing,
  • shivering,
  • lightheadedness
  • sweating, and
  • fast, slow, or pounding heartbeats,
