Reltone (ursodiol capsules)
type of Bile Acid Sequestrants
Reltone (ursodiol capsules) is a bile acid indicated for patients with radiolucent, noncalcified gallbladder stones less than 20 mm in greatest diameter in whom elective cholecystectomy would be undertaken except for the presence of increased surgical risk due to systemic disease, advanced age, idiosyncratic reaction to general anesthesia, or for those patients who refuse surgery. Reltone is also indicated for the prevention of gallstone formation in obese patients experiencing rapid weight loss.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- weakness,
- sore throat,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- swelling of the ankles or feet,
- unusual bruising, and
- easy bleeding

- Chenodal (chenodiol tablets)
- Urso (ursodiol)
