Quinidine Injection (quinidine)

Quinidine gluconate injection is an antimalarial and an antiarrhythmic used to treat life-threatening Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Quinidine gluconate injection is also used as a means of restoring normal sinus rhythm in patients with symptomatic atrial fibrillation/flutter whose symptoms are not adequately controlled by measures that reduce the rate of ventricular response, and to treat documented ventricular arrhythmias, such as sustained ventricular tachycardia, that in the judgment of the physician are life-threatening.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- chills,
- vision problems,
- fluttering in your chest,
- wheezing,
- sore throat,
- stomach pain (upper right side),
- mouth sores,
- fast or pounding heartbeats,
- sudden dizziness,
- chest tightness,
- ringing in your ears,
- dry mouth, and
- muscle or joint pain,
- pale or yellow skin,
- increased sensitivity to light,
- hearing loss,
- trouble swallowing
- severe eye redness,
