Quelicin (succinylcholine chloride injection)

Quelicin (succinylcholine chloride) Injection is a short-acting depolarizing skeletal muscle relaxant used as an adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate tracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation. Quelicin is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• itching,
• dark urine,
• rash,
• fever,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• rapid breathing,
• dizziness,
• severe headache,
• wheezing,
• fainting,
• weakness,
• chest pain or pressure,
• vision changes,
• red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever,
• tightness in the chest or throat,
• unusual hoarseness,
• twitching,
• cardiac arrest,
• rash
• numbness or tingling,
• trouble swallowing or talking,
• muscle pain or weakness,
• difficulty urinating,
• spasm or stiffness of the jaw muscles,
• slow or fast heartbeat,
• postoperative muscle pain,
• change in thinking clearly and with logic,
• eye pain,  
• dangerously fast rise in body temperature,
• prolonged respiratory depression or apnea,
• increased pressure in the eye,
• excessive salivation,
