Plenvu (polyethylene glycol 3350 with electrolytes for oral solution)
type of Laxatives, Osmotic
Plenvu (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium ascorbate, sodium sulfate, ascorbic acid, sodium chloride and potassium chloride for oral solution) is an osmotic laxative indicated for cleansing of the colon in preparation for colonoscopy in adults.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- dizziness,
- fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat,
- severe stomach pain,
- severe dizziness
- bloody stools,
- changes in the amount of urine,
- rectal bleeding, and
- vomit that is bloody or looks like coffee grounds,
- fainting seizures,
The following drugs are related to Plenvu, either as a replacement or used together:
- Dulcolax (bisacodyl suppositories)
- Suflave (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium sulfate, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate, and sodium chloride)
- Sutab (sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and potassium chloride tablets)
