Zosyn (piperacillin and tazobactam injection)

Zosyn (piperacillin and tazobactam for injection) is a combination of two antibiotics used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as urinary tract infections, bone and joint infections, severe vaginal infections, stomach infections, skin infections, and pneumonia. Zosyn is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Pneumonia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fever,
- fluttering in your chest,
- constipation,
- cough,
- sore throat,
- mouth sores,
- severe stomach pain,
- irregular heartbeats,
- trouble breathing,
- skin sores,
- increased thirst or urination,
- leg cramps,
- convulsions (seizures),
- numbness or tingling, and
- muscle weakness or limp feeling
- diarrhea that is watery or bloody (occurring months after the last dose),
