Sezaby (phenobarbital sodium for injection)

Sezaby (phenobarbital sodium powder) is a barbiturate indicated for the treatment of neonatal seizures in term and preterm infants.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• sedation,
• low blood pressure (hypotension),
• slow heart rate,
• abnormal breathing,
• feeding disorder,
• low blood sodium (hyponatremia), and
• a life-threatening response to an infection (sepsis).
