Pemfexy (pemetrexed injection for intravenous use)

Pemfexy (pemetrexed injection) is a folate analog metabolic inhibitor indicated for use in combination with cisplatin for the initial treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous, non-small cell lung cancer; as a single agent for the maintenance treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC whose disease has not progressed after four cycles of platinum-based first-line chemotherapy; and as a single agent for the treatment of patients with recurrent, metastatic non-squamous NSCLC after prior chemotherapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• sore throat,
• fever,
• chills,
• stomach pain,
• pale skin,
• unusual bleeding
• hives, 
• difficulty breathing, 
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
• dark urine, 
• unusual tiredness, 
• numbness and tingling skin, 
• swelling in ankles, feet, or your hands, 
• change in the amount of urine, 
• vomiting that doesn’t stop, 
• yellowing of your eyes and skin, 
• easy bruising, and
