Paxil-CR (paroxetine hydrochloride) is a type of antidepressant called a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- headache,
- sweating,
- dizziness,
- weakness,
- constipation,
- loss of appetite,
- nervousness,
- restlessness,
- dry mouth,
- trouble sleeping (insomnia),
- tiredness,
- weight changes,
- drowsiness,
- impotence,
- decreased sex drive,
- difficulty having an orgasm, or
- ringing in your ears.
