Zenpep (pancrelipase delayed release capsules)

Zenpep (pancrelipase) is a combination of three enzymes (proteins): lipase, protease, and amylase, which are normally produced by the pancreas, used to replace certain enzymes when the body does not have enough of its own. Certain medical conditions can cause this lack of enzymes, including cystic fibrosis, chronic inflammation of the pancreas, or blockage of the pancreatic ducts.

The drug is often used to treat Cystic fibrosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• vomiting,
• joint pain or swelling,
• constipation
• bloating,
• diarrhea, and
• severe or unusual stomach pain,

• Zithromax (azithromycin)
• Zmax (azithromycin)
• Pulmozyme (dornase alfa)
• TOBI Podhaler (tobramycin inhalation powder)
