Terra-Cortril (oxytetracycline and hydrocortisone)

Terra-Cortril (oxytetracycline and hydrocortisone) is a combination antibiotic and corticosteroid used in the topical treatment of corticosteroid-responsive inflammatory conditions of the eye and ear in which infection due to organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline and/or polymyxin B sulfate exist. The brand name Terra-Cortril is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• blurred vision,
• eye redness,
• eye irritation,
• watery eyes,
• infections,
• increased tear production,
• temporary stinging or burning sensation in the eye,
• feeling as if there is something in the eye,
• sensitivity to light, or
• changes in the sense< of taste
