Oxycontin (oxycodone hcl)

OxyContin (oxycodone hydrochloride) is an opioid drug used for the management of moderate to severe pain, usually for an extended time period.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• loss of appetite,
• vomiting,
• confusion,
• seizure,
• noisy breathing,
• shallow breathing,
• unusual thoughts or behavior,
• worsening tiredness or weakness,
• dizziness, and
• breathing that stops during sleep (sleep apnea),
• slow heart rate or weak pulse,
• light-headed feeling,
