Serax (oxazepam tablets)

Serax (oxazepam) is a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety disorders or alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Serax may also be used for sleep (insomnia). Serax is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• dizziness,
• blurred vision,
• vomiting,
• constipation,
• skin rash,
• drowsiness,
• swelling,
• slurred speech, 
• trouble concentrating,
• loss of interest in sex.
• amnesia or forgetfulness,
