Xenical (orlistat) is a gastrointestinal lipase inhibitor used to help with weight loss by preventing the digestion and absorption of fat in food by inhibiting the enzyme lipase in the intestine.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• upper stomach pain,
• loss of appetite,
• itching,
• clay-colored stools, and
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• shortness of breath,
• little or no urination,
• painful or difficult urination,
• dark colored urine,
• swelling in your feet or ankles,
• feeling tired,
• severe stomach pain,
• blood in your urine,
• severe pain in your lower back,
