Zofran (ondansetron hydrochloride tablets and solution)
type of Antiemetics, Selective 5-HT3 Antagonist
Zofran (ondansetron) is an antiemetic and selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist prescribed for the treatment of nausea and vomiting due to cancer chemotherapy and also used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting after surgery. Zofran is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- rash,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- tiredness,
- dizziness,
- constipation,
- headache,
- severe itching,
- weakness,
- drowsiness,
- blurred vision, and
- anxiety
- urinary retention,
- muscle spasm.
- malaise/fatigue,
- gynecologic disorder,
- elevated liver function test results
