Zolgensma (onasemnogene abeparvovec-xioi suspension for iv use)

Zolgensma (onasemnogene abeparvovec-xioi) is an adeno-associated virus vector-based gene therapy indicated for the treatment of pediatric patients less than 2 years of age with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) with bi-allelic mutations in the survival motor neuron 1 (SMN1) gene.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • easy bruising,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • unusual bleeding, and
  • purple or red spots under your skin
The following drugs are related to Zolgensma, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Evrysdi (risdiplam for oral solution)
