Nulecit (sodium ferric gluconate complex injection)

Nulecit (sodium ferric gluconate complex in sucrose injection) is a form of the mineral iron indicated for treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adult patients and in pediatric patients age 6 years and older undergoing chronic hemodialysis who are receiving supplemental epoetin therapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• back pain
• dizziness, and
• high or low blood pressure,
• allergic reactions (itching, facial flushing, chills, shortness of breath, chest pain, and rash),
