TriNessa (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets) is a combination of female hormones used as a contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. TriNessa is also used to treat severe acne. TriNessa is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• headache,
• dizziness,
• vomiting,
• depression, or
• vaginal itching or discharge,
• stomach cramping,
• bloating,
• nipple discharge,
• freckles or darkening of facial skin,
• increased hair growth,
• loss of scalp hair,
• changes in weight or appetite,
• decreased sex drive.
• breast tenderness or swelling,
• problems with contact lenses,
• nausea (especially when you first start taking TriNessa),
