Xulane (norelgestromin and ethinylestradiol transdermal system)

Xulane (norelgestromin and ethinyl estradiol transdermal system) is an estrogen/progestin combination hormonal contraceptive (CHC), indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use a transdermal patch.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • chest pain,
  • fainting,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • anxiety,
  • trouble walking,
  • bulging eyes,
  • double vision,
  • loss of vision,
  • blurry vision,
  • apprehension,
  • rapid heartrate,
  • swelling and warmth to either leg,
  • bluish or gray color of the skin, nails, lips or around the eyes,
  • swelling in the eye (papilledema),
  • difficulty speaking (and being understood),
  • numbness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side,
  • pain or discomfort in the jaw, neck or back,
  • pain or discomfort in one or both arms or shoulders, and
