Opdivo (nivolumab injection)
type of PD-1PD-L1 Inhibitors, Antineoplastics Monoclonal Antibody
Opdivo (nivolumab) is a human monoclonal antibody used to treat patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma and disease progression following ipilimumab and, if BRAF V600 mutation positive, a BRAF inhibitor; and to treat metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with progression on or after platinum-based chemotherapy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- difficulty breathing,
- nausea,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- fever,
- skin rash,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- chills,
- stomach pain,
- clay-colored stools,
- chest pain,
- dizziness,
- dry mouth,
- joint pain,
- cough,
- blood in the urine,
- little or no urination,
- increased urination,
- fruity breath odor,
- mood changes,
- mouth sores,
- increased hunger or thirst,
- seizures,
- yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
- dry skin,
- neck stiffness,
- sensitivity to light,
- unusual weakness,
- hallucination,
- general ill feeling,
- changes in vision,
- loss of contact with reality,
- changes in the amount of urine,
- weight gain or loss
- severe muscle pain or weakness,
- swelling of the face, lips, or tongue,
- bloody or watery diarrhea,
- black tarry stools,
- headache with fever,
- loss of memory,
- redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth,
- dark yellow or brown urine,
- right upper abdominal pain,
- swelling of your ankles, feet, and hands, and
