Nitrostat (nitroglycerin)

Nitrostat (nitroglycerin) Sublingual Tablets are nitrates used to treat or prevent attacks of chest pain (angina). Nitrostat is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • lightheadedness,
  • pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
  • fluttering in your chest,
  • blurred vision,
  • dry mouth,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • sweating
  • slow heart rate,
  • pounding heartbeats,
  • nausea, and
  • severe or throbbing headaches,
