Nikita (pitavastatin) tablet is a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor indicated for patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia as an adjunctive therapy to diet to reduce elevated total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (Apo B), triglycerides (TG), and to increase high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• dark urine,
• rash,
• vomiting,
• stomach pain,
• unusual tiredness,
• itching, and
• severe dizziness
• yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
• change in the amount of urine,
• muscle pain, tenderness or weakness with fever,
