Nicotrol NS (nicotine) Nasal Spray 10 mg/mL is the primary ingredient in tobacco products and is used to aid in smoking cessation for the relief of nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Nicotrol NS therapy should be used as a part of a comprehensive behavioral smoking cessation program.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  •  runny or stuffy nose
  •  headache
  • upset stomach
  • sore throat
  • cough
  • indigestion
  • constipation
  • stinging
  • mild burning
  • irritation in your mouth, nose, throat, or eyes
  • sneezing
  • numbness or tingling in your nose, mouth, head, or other parts of your body
  • pain in your jaw or neck
  • tooth problems
  • flu symptoms
  • sores or white patches in your mouth or throat
  • unpleasant taste in your mouth
  • chest tightness
  • tingling in limbs
  • nasal or mouth sores
  • nasal congestion
  • changes in sense of smell or taste
  • earache
  • facial flushing, or
  • hoarseness
