Viramune (nevirapine)

Viramune (nevirapine) is an antiviral medication used to treat HIV, which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Viramune is not a cure for HIV or AIDS. Viramune is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat HIV .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- nausea,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- night sweats,
- shortness of breath,
- weight loss,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- chest pain,
- rapid heart rate,
- wheezing,
- weakness,
- cough,
- sore throat,
- skin pain,
- flu symptoms,
- mouth sores,
- anxiety,
- irritableness,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- burning in your eyes,
- red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
- dry cough,
- unexplained muscle pain or weakness,
- cold sores,
- trouble speaking or swallowing,
- problems with balance or eye movement,
- swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid),
- joint or muscle pain,
- prickly feeling,
- sores on your genital or anal area,
- severe lower back pain,
- loss of bladder or bowel control,
- menstrual changes,
- impotence, and
- loss of interest in sex
- blistering skin rash,
- swelling in your legs or feet,
- facial swelling,
- severe tingling or numbness,
- any signs of a new infection,
